Arkansas’ exceptional weather in the autumn and spring make an outdoor wedding a perfect choice for brides in the Natural State. Many choose a family member’s backyard or perhaps a scenic overlook. But those who want the color and serenity that can only be found in the garden will find Botanical Garden of the Ozarks a cut above the rest. Showcasing the beauty of the Ozarks, the venue is a collection of twelve themed gardens as well as the region’s only butterfly house. It has also been voted Citiscape Magazine’s Best Place to Get Married over seven years in a row. Hosting your ceremony and reception here will have guests oohing and ahhing - and quite literally stopping to smell the roses.
The Botanical Gardens knows that each bride has a unique vision for her day. That’s why they offer two packages, the traditional package or the simple package, to make sure your day is custom suited to you.
.
Ideal for larger wedding parties, celebrations utilizing the traditional package are held in the serene Rose and Perennial Garden. Your ceremony will be conducted under the pale wood frame of the Rotary Peace Arbor, which can be customized to reflect your wedding theme. Hang white sheets to embody a breezy, sunlit vibe, or hang evergreen wreaths to bring in the beauty from the garden. Guests are seated on chairs in a semicircle around the arbor, where everyone has an excellent view and can take in the scents of the blossoms around them.
Though this package is named the traditional, it does not mean your ceremony has to be. The Botanical Gardens encourages you to conduct your ceremony in a way that is meaningful to you and your fiancé. You can recite your own vows, light a unity candle or maybe even dance your way down the aisle. What matters most is that it resonates with you!
Da Vinci once wrote that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. That phrase rings true in what encompasses this package. For $250, couples can choose which of The Botanical Gardens’ award winning themed gardens they would like to get married in. You are welcome to choose any time during normal operating hours, and up until 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Space is available for up to twenty guests, and photography is allowed after the one hour ceremony time. Your rental fee also includes garden admission for up to ten guests. This package is an excellent choice for brides who want the ambiance of the gardens without the increased price tag.
If you are planning a celebration of epic proportions, have no fear. The Botanical Gardens has the space to host as many guests as you could possibly want. The property’s Great Lawn can seat as many as 800 people for your ceremony and reception. Your wedding will be set in front of the garden’s awe-inspiring arbor, which is home to over 800 species of trees and shrubs native to the region. Tents and decorations can be brought in to help customize the space as well. Many brides choose to host their wedding on the Great Lawn and then hold their reception in the Totemeier Event Hall and Tyson Terraces. The timber-framed Event Hall has floor to ceiling windows and exposed beam rafters. The glass doors open wide into the gardens, allowing the breeze and aromas to fill the space and delight your guests. The terrace provides ample room for outdoor seating and overlooks the Founders Garden. Along with beautiful flowers and shrubs, the garden also features a romantic fountain that will allow your guests to dine to the pleasing sound of water trickling down the rocks
As this is an outdoor venue, the staff asks that couples provided a contingency plan at least two weeks before their ceremony.
The Botanical Gardens has a preferred list of vendors it asks that all couples utilize for their wedding. Tents and equipment needs for your ceremony and reception will be provided by Intents. Catering is available from the garden’s list of approved vendors. If you plan on serving alcohol at your event, you are required to hire a bartender to serve all beverages.
The Botanical Gardens does not offer accommodations on site. The staff recommends the Courtyard by Marriot, due to its close proximity to the gardens. East Fayetteville also offers a plethora of options in AirBNB, giving guests the comforts of home regardless of how far they have traveled.
The gardens are available for rent for $1800-$3600, depending on your desired rental and season. This fee includes access to the bridal suite, two hours pre-event for photos, one hour of rehearsal time, use of the kitchen, and access to the entire gardens during your event. Tables and chairs are available at an additional cost.
